Red Trillium, I think
What a difference a week makes. So happy to see the wild flowers growing complete with buds that will bloom soon.
Blood Root in bloom. Happened upon these yesterday. :)The froggies were a wooing in the marsh. I have video but I moved too fast, so it will make you dizzy. The sound itself is something else. The wooing only goes on for a day usually, so I was lucky to be there. If I can figure out how to smooth out the video I will post it.
Also, a lot of geese were on the move. All my life I have been watching geese. In my life time this is the first time that many geese flew directly over our heads. They usually veer away. That can only mean that they haven't been shot at.Happy turtles finally got a day in the sun.
I prefer to think of us as friends, but really I am barely tolerated, especially since I didn't have many seeds. The nerve of some people!
'Til next time...

What a wonderful post, Dixie! Isn't it amazing what just a few blooms outside can do to our weary season-transitional spirits? That and seeing the wildlife awaken and suddenly we feel more alive too. I love your plein air kit and thanks for some good suggestions. I've done this a couple of times and usually get frustrated. We do have a plein air group in town and it IS nice to have others around -- one feels a little less odd out there. I like your clipboard idea and your mini-kit looks like it has all one would need. A post of perfection, I think! Happy week!a
Our frogs are singing away loudly day after day right now, and I just love listening to them. Glad you could catch that song, and the turtle photo is great. I have a relationship with a squirrel too. Of the many who visit, there is one who has figured out how to get onto this one bird feeder I have. We often have stare offs to see who can look at the other one the longest.I'm guessing that experience is similar to yours. Lovely face drawing too. Have a great T day
Loved seeing the balloons from my mouse! I am in awe of your painting of Mary. Looks like her, too (from images I've seen).
Lisca will love the turtles. They are her favorite. I like your plein air set up. And it looks like spring has arrived in your garden.
Thanks for sharing your art and week with us, as well as your green tea for T this Tuesday, dear Dixie.
I so enjoyed your nature photos and walking with you, those flowers look so beautiful and a great find 😊. Such a pretty drawing too. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
Lovely flowers! The trout lilies look a lot like crocusses. And I love the turtles on the log.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Your plein air kit is so twee. Wonderful drawing of Mary. Those old girls always looked so dour so I like expression you drew on her. Happy T Day
