In this part of the world Autumn is in full show off mode.
The peepers have quit peeping, and a lot of the birds have flown south, and the geese are often overhead in formation, so autumn it is. Most days are glorious, especially when a frost burns away and sunshine rules the day.
Banks of Asters, Black-eyed Susan's and Golden Rod are currently pushing out from the roadsides and blanketing ditches. The maples sport red and orange leaves, oaks are generally orange, and the birch leaves are a crispy brownish yellow. So magical out there, especially this year when the rains have not washed all the beauty away.

Pleased to be joining T Stands for Tuesday |
Thank you for your kind comments on my last post. A brief update.
I have neuropathy in feet and legs. (Only two outings this summer but more recently.) It happened because of a prescribed antibiotic. Didn’t receive any warnings from the doctor or pharmacy about the medicine. I was told it was a good drug by the doctor who prescribed it. However, another emergency doctor told me that the medicine can cause neuropathy. The odds: one in two hundred thousand. (It can do worse.) He said it will not heal, but I am hopeful.
The moral of the story: check and re-check all meds. (The responsibility lies with moi.)
Sometimes it's a jungle out there, so do be extra careful lovely people.

Finished the tree accordion booklet that was working on in my last post. It's possible to work the flip side as well, so I may do that. Pines are a favourite tree of mine. They, according to the article by Jonna Saari, and other magical trees, actually release chemicals that are beneficial to humans.
(Forest lovers know the benefit. A walk in the woods always makes for a good feeling day.)
If you wish, you can read about the benefits in Jonna's article here: Trees

Soma from Ink Torrents Graphics recently held an Ink Fortnight small painting challenge. Soma, my multi-talented friend got me back to the drawing board with this fun two week adventure. She plans to host the event next year as well, so do check out her site to see the paintings and for more information.
From the party two of my paintings below:

Had to add a photo of this wonderful book by Miranda Mills today. If you don’t know Miranda, she has a YouTube channel where she reviews books and some products.
This common place book is her second book. It's a book filled with wonderful quotes, beautiful illustrations, poems, recipes, book recommendations and more. It’s a lovely book.
Cyanotype and watercolour displayed by Zeus.

Happened upon this uplifting little 2 inch rock at a picnic table recently.
Many thanks to the person who painted the rock and left this little gem behind.

My husband had some serious medical issues from a medicine once. The same thing, the doctor didn't mention that it could happen. That is some very wise advice you gave in this post. And your autumn views are really lovely. As is your art from Soma's class. I was sorry to miss it since I was away during those 2 weeks. (Of course, that's how it goes, right?) Wishing you a happy T day and sending you wishes that your neuropathy in your feet and legs improves.
I don't take any medications, but I will certainly take your advice if I ever do. I feel for you. I hope the neuropathy isn't as bad as it sounds.
Autumn looks lovely in your world. here it is still green and headed to brown. No beautiful colors like you shared.
I make no secret that I can't draw, so I will just enjoy what you created for Soma's posts.
That is a stunning mug you shared with us for T this Tuesday.
And how nice to have found that painted rock, Dixie.
Thanks for the update, Dixie, and for the warning about checking medicines. I hadn’t heard that pines release things that are good for us, so the pine accordion booklet is a nice fit. Wishing you some improvement with your legs.

Love your fall colors. Wow. Beautiful.
Yes check and recheck your medications. Some are very harmful.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
I am so very sorry about the neuropathy. Can you please tell me what antibiotic is was? I also joined Soma in her challenge. It was so much fun. I never work on small projects so this was a real eye opener for me. Your art is lovely. The accordion piece is so special. I do like this mug and your photos of fall. Have a good day today.
I do hope that the symptoms will at lease reduce enough for you to be outside more often. Beautiful photo of the trees. Great job with finishing the tree booklet. Love the black paper for the background. Thanks so much for jointing Ink Fortnight, Dixie. We had a great time together.

Hi Erika,
I hope all worked out for your husband.
Thanks so much for your lovely comments.
Enjoy the weekend…
Thank you, Elizabeth.
I was surprised and pleased to find the little rock. I will keep it for a while and then, either paint a rock with a different message, or leave this one somewhere to be found. Fun idea.
Enjoy the weekend…
Thank you, Diana.
Love trees; they even look after each other. Share water etc.
We do live in a magical world.
Thank you for hosting, Sandee.
Yes, so beautiful just now. The show before the snow. :)

Was a fun challenge. And although I do paint small at times, it was a challenge.
for me as well.
A note is in the way to you.

Beautiful Fall pictures. I like the fox in his jaunty hat mug. The accordion book is just beautiful as well as the party paintings. Zeus does a wonderful job of displaying the cyanotype eye candy. Happy T Day
Someone else was talking about the Cozy Commonplace Book. It sounds lovely. I really liked your Inktober pieces and the accordion book. I had hoped to do it this year but it came at a bad time. Meanwhile, I hope you can get some relief with the neuropathy. I'm sorry you have to deal with it -- must be terribly frustrating and odd for balance, too. I've had some funky medicine reactions in the past too. Frustrating. It's really looking beautiful in your world. Ours too -- I think we may be on a similar schedule, at least up north. Sending all good greetings your way and thanks for stopping by!
Such a gorgeous time of year. It’s amazing.
Thank you so much, C.J.
Best wishes too…

Worth a Thousand Words
Lovely fall color. Sorry about the medicine.

I have some neuropathy in my feet due to diabetes. I take a supplement Allred ALA. Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a natural, water- and fat-soluble antioxidant produced in the body and found in foods like red meat, spinach, and broccoli..
It is supposed to help with regenerating nerve tissue.
Thank you, Erica. Much appreciated.
And sending good wishes and hugs back to you.
Thank you, Dora.
Best Wishes….
Thank you for your lovely comments.
Best Wishes…
Thank you, Christine.
Yes, for sure. October is such a gorgeous month!
It’s always a treat!
Sorry to hear you have neuropathy, Gene.
Many thanks for taking the time to let me know about ALA.
I very recently bought some on a recommendation. It’s safely stowed in the cupboard.
I am looking forward to good results.
I hope it is working well for you!
Best Wishes.

Thank you, Gillena.
Lovely new photo.

That Fall landscape photograph you took is breathtaking. Sorry to hear about your incident with the medication causing neuropathy, and pray you do heal. Your accordion booklet looks wondrous. Have a blessed week!
Hi, Dixie! I really enjoyed your description of autumn and your photos. I'm sorry to hear about your neuropathy. I hope that it heals. We definitely have to be on the alert whenever we take medicines. Sometimes it becomes a case of weighing different difficult risks. I particularly like your vase of flowers ~ lovely! I love the rocks people place in nature for others to find. Your find is uplifting, like the Universe meant it for you. Wishing you the best! ❤️
Thank you, Rev. Arnoldo.
I appreciate your prayers.
Yes, it was a lovely find. Really made me smile and appreciate the thoughtful maker.
I agree. Must weight the risks for sure.
Two wildflowers in the vase.
Thank you.
